MR. CASTLE AT SEATOUN
Speaking at Seatoun this morning, a number of relief workers being present, Mr. John Castle, a candidate for the City Council, said that, if elected,, he would do all in his power to better the condition of the relief workers. No one man could be expected: to settle the economic question, as it was a worldwide calamity which, no doubt, was the aftermath of the Great War. He would endeavour to represent all classes of society, and was particularly interested in the suburban districts of the whole city. Asked whether he would see that .Dundas Street was attended to, as it was in disrepair, the candidate said that, having lived in that district for a number, of years, he was well acquainted with Seatoun, Worser Bay, and Karaka Bay districts, and*would do all he could to remedy the expensive sand-drift nuisance at Worser Bay. If he should be elected he would always take a keen interest, in the streets of the whole city. Mr. Castle was heartily applauded at the close of his address..
