Red Bank took the lead,early, but was replaced by Kinsel at the railway bend, the latter maintaining his advantage In the straight to win comfortably. > Poukawa Maiden, of 60 soys; weight, 8.7; 5% furlongs.—3-2 Royal Shift (J. Green), 1; 1-1 Grand Sport, 2; 8-8 Queen's Diadem, 3. Queen's Diadem led Into the straight with Royal Shift making a great run to overtake the leaders just on the post. Monarchy were the early leaders with High Grader In fourth position, to the straight, where Sabatini still led the field.- High Grader came tiirough, with Sunstead and Wedding Bells also handy, and Sabatini failed to hold off the challenge by half-a length. ■
Autumn Hack Handicap, of 70 soys; C fur-longs.—2-2 Stitch, 8.5 (J. Leach), 1; 1-3 Grumpy, 9.3, 2; 4-1 Princess Bell, 3. Also started: 5-D Royal Hunting 0.6, 3-4 Jazz King 7.8, 6-8 Master Frank 7.6. Two lengths, one. Time, lmln i 3 2-!isec. Grumpy jumped out to lead tho field into the straight, where the order was Grumpy, Stitch, Jazz King, Master Frank, and Royal Hunting. Stitch forged ahead at the distance to win comfortably.
Frying Handicap, of 100 soys; 6 furlongs.— 4 Tahoma, 7.11 (J. Leach) and 2 Kaihoro. 7.8 (F. -Mulllns) (dead heat). 1; 3 False Scent. 3. Also started: 1 Aston 8.8. Half a length. Time, lmln ISsec. Kaihoro led Aston, False Scent, and Tahoma to the half-mile, where Aston assumed the lead, but was replaced by Kaihoro, who led into, the straight- In a great run home Tahoma challenged strongly to deadhuit with Kaihoro.
