LONDON, March 30. .' Scenes reminiscent of war-.timo bombardment occurred at Miteham following the explosion in" the 'lavender distillery, which entirely wrecked and set fire to the factory and shattered a whole row of houses backing on to the factory. Most of the roofs and back walls collapsed? imprisoning .the occupants in their beds. There were many miraculous escapes. In addition to loss of life of a boy, four, persons were seriously injured and twenty-five slightly. Twohuudred houses were damaged. ' -;-.-:
