Sir,—l am not surprised that the Hon. Mr. Carrington iji his letter to the Auckland "Star,' commenting on my letter to your paper, defends the figures supplied to han by the return in question, as "capable of no 'other explanation than the amounts denote," because he seems to be unaware that the accumulated capital pr credit balance o£ the Railway Fund was £404,491 in 1921, and £1,488,560 ia 1931. la Mr. Carrington. also unaware that the whole- question, of superannuation is at present under review by a special Parliamentary Committee, and,-does he not realise, that, for such reason, his "return" and his comments thereon should not have been made by a member of the Legislature.—l am, etc., W. IX. WEIGHT, President, Superannuated Public Servants' Association. Wellington, March 30, 1033. ,
