'Supplementary to yesterday'a decision of the Waitangi National Trust Board tie restore"' the ancient rcsidoncy, the announcement is made that the Ngatihine: sub-tribe of the Ngapuhis offered to douato £.1000 worth of. timber for a carved wharo runanga (meeting house), and also 5000 posts and battens for fencing the Trust "property. The fro.nt,robms .of the residency will bo refurnished to tho character and decoration for the time the Treaty was signed, .
In regard to afforestation it was decided that the coast side of tho property be planted with native trees. An unemployment relief camp will be established for the purpose of clearing scrub and gorso at the back of the estate.
Another portion of the area will bo allowed to revert to natural manuka growth, and an isolated block of 400 acres will probably bo availablo for grazing.
