AIR DISPLAY

WEATHER NOT PROMISING

The weather indications arc not very' promising for-the air display which the Wellington Aero Club proposes to make at the Rongbtai Aerodrome tomorrow afternoon in. place of tho Sunday afternoon programme cancelled during the visit of \\\e Southern Cross. Northerly' winds are probable, and Eongotai docs not offer its best; for plain flying in such conditions, let alone for the novelty and spectacular work which will build up the. programme. However, if conditions are suitable, tho holding of tho display will be indicated by a formation flight of three machines over the "city and suburbs, commencing at 1 o'clock.

The City Council has agreed that the club should invite the public as its guests for the afternoon, and there will therefore bo no charge for admission. Tho programme will be as follows:— 2 p.m., formation, Mot Officers C. M. Duthie, S. Meatchem, and M. K. Archibald; 2.20 p.m., stunting, Club Captain C. C. Waite; 2.40, "flying by the book," Flight-Lieut: G. B. Bolt; 3 p.m., gliding, C. C. Waite; 3.20, bombing, Squadron-Loader G. L. Stedman, C. M. Duthie, and M. K. Archibald; 3.35, dog flight, Plight-Lieut. G. B. Bolt and C. C. Waite; 3.55, aerial cricket, SquadrohLeader G. L. Stedman; 4.5, stunting, C. M. : There is a very lively interest' in the second section of the "Evening Post" Aviation Scholarship scheme) and those who visit the aerodrome tomorrow afternoon may obtain full particulars from the club's officers, or entry forms may be obtained from the club office Dominion .-.
