M. Litvinoff, Commissar of Foreign Affairs, told Sir Esmond" Ovey, the British Ambassador, •■fthat==metliods of crude pressure might "sometimes bo effective in Mexico, but they were fated to fail in Eussia.
The Public Prosecutor had decided to call the case in tho very near future. If the Ambassador sought to influence the decision by a statement regarding tho British Government's; steps, ho could rest assured that nothing would come of it.
