STORM ABATES
SHIPS AT RAROTONGA MAKURA DUE TUESDAY
The storm which has dejayed 'the Union Company's mail liners Makura and, Maunganui at Earotonga has abated,.and work was commenced this morning. . Prior to this morning, the heavy seas, made the : working of cargo by lighter impossible. The Makuri, which should have left Rarotouga 'on Tuesday, has been delayed in lier' doparturo until lO p.m. ,tgda,y,-, Jnstead of arriving at her scheduled time on Monday morning, she will not now arrive at> Wellington until Tuesday afternoon. She will sail at 3 p.m. on Wednesday for Sydney, a day behind her usual' sailing time. The Maunganui, which was delayed for two days at Wellihgtori:by a dispute with the stewards, was to leave Earotonga at 4 p.m. today for Papeete and San • Francisco. ;■' Her arrival time at San Francisco depends on when she leaves. Papeete, but it is expected that she will, arrive at the American port on April 10.
