DEMPSTER FAREWELLED

Speaking at a valedictory function at which ho .'was tho. guest, of honour last evening, C. S. Dempster, this Wellington Cricket Association's official coach, who is to sail for England by the Tainui on April 5, said that ho was not leaving New Zealand for good but would be returning in September. Ho is going Homo on'a business trip, and his subsequent activities are indefinite. High tributes to Dempster's skill as a cricketer and his popularity as a,sportsman were paid by criekers and others when he was farewelled last night. Mr. Martin Luckio presented him "with a writing set on behalf of tho Wellington Cricket Association, and Mr. G. D. Little, president of the Wellington Commercial Travellers' Club, presented him with a wristlet watch.
