MANAWATU V. WELLINGTON .
(Special to "The Evening Post.") PALMERSTON N., This Day. By a margin of 32S points to 311, Manawatu defeated Wellington in an intercentre rinks bowling match yesterday, played in Palmerston North. Sixteen vinks from the Wellington Centre made the trip, this representing their iirst visit to the Manawatu for a number of years. The Takaro and Palmerston North Club greens were used for the match, and playing conditions left little to be desired. On the Palmerston North green Palmerston North ivon 5 games to 3, with 168 points to 152. At Takaro, Wellington, although taking five of the eight games, lost by one point, 160 to 159. On the occasion of Manawatu's visit to Wellington earlier this year, Welliugton ivon on points, although losing 10 of the 16 games. Results of play are as follows:— At Palmerston Green.
