AUCKLAND, March 28,

Four I^ew South Wales swimmers' made their third appearance at Auckland this evening. • Eecord-breaking swims were made by C. Phillips and V. Besomo, two of the visiting champions. - .

Phillips put up his time in winning the 150 yards scratch race for intermediates in lmin 29 l-ssec, which is 2 l-sseo faster than Bridson's Australian and New Zealand record.

Besomo made a successful attack on the New Zealand 100 metres backstroke record. The time, lmin 12 2-ssec, bettered L. J^ Moorhouse's record by 7sec.
