LAWN TENNIS
PETONE CENTRAL CLUB
The activities of the Pctone Central Lawn Tennis Club during the last fortnight have included friendly matches with the Trentham, Korokoro, Epivni, and St. Stephen's Clubs. All matches were very keenly contested. The club will, in the course of the next week or two, issue invitations to other Hutt V.nlley clubs to play friendly games. Great interest is ! being taken in the exhibition match which is. to be played on Central courts on Saturday, April 8. The club is to be congratulated on obtaining the services of such players as Noel Wilson, the France Bros., Ferkins, Mrs. Dykes, Miss Xicholls, Mrs. France, and Mrs. Melody. Invitations are being sent to all Hutt Valley clubs to attend this exhibition match. " All the grass courts will be top-dressed at the end of this season, and the commencement of next season should see them in excellent condition. An additional hard court should be ready next season.
