OBITUARY

REV. DR. SCOTT WEST

SYDNEY, March 27.

The death has occurred of the Ecr. Dr. K. Scott "West, formerly of New Zealand, ex-Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of New South Wales.

The late Dr. West was born in Perthshire, Scotland, and was educated at the University and Free Church College j Glasgow. He was minister of St' David's Church, Auckland, from 1887. to 1899, and had been minister of St. James's Church, Burwood, New South Wales,.since 1899. He was lecturer in. practical theology at St. Andrew's College, Sydney, 1907-18, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New South Wales in the jubilee yeaT; 1915-16, senior chaplain in the ComnKmwealth • Military Forces, convener of" the •ministers' and missionaries' book • fund" of New South Wales, convener of the committee of the Book of Common Order, General Assembly of Australia, author of "The Story of the Holy Communion," convener of the Australian Committee for the Bevision of the Church Hymnary, Moderator-Gen-eral of the Presbyterian Church of Aus. tralia in 1926-28.
