.Miss Estelle Beerfe, -who. left, for Queensland last September to recuperate after a serious illness, writes to >a friend in Wellington that she has quite recovered her health and at present has a flat ih Wyjde Street, Pott's Point, Sydney. ■ Taking her car over with her, she and. her niece, Miss Joan Beex-e, have since motored many thousands of, miles, going via the coast to Brisbane, r and from there further west, ! Later they ■ intend .motoring to Melbourne .via Canberra.

It may be of interest to many to know that before landing' her car- in Sydney, Miss Beere had to pay. a deposit of £195 as a guarantee tliat the car would leave the country within a given time—failing which the deposit would be forfeited.

Miss*y-Joan- Beere danced recently with great success? at' a-.big charity matinee given by J. C. Williamson and Co., at which over £500 was taken; &mce then she has been imparting operatic technique in dancing to the J. C. Williamson ballet and the Bruse Edward girls at the D. White Studios. , Miss Beere is not opening her studio in Wellington, until 1934. ,
