Southern Blue Metal Quarries, Ltd., shows a profit for the year 1932 of £22,333, which is £7161 better than the previous' year. From the £72,745 brought forward there was paid £4918 retrospective income tax assessment, and £60,000 was transferred to reserve fund, leaving a balance of £7827 which, added to the profit of £22,333, gave a balance of £30,160. Preference dividend of 6 per cent, absorbed £15,000, leaving £15,160 to be carried forward. :
No dividends were received from the company's colliery interests. The return from shipping interests showed an improvement '. over 1931. ■
