CAPSIZE AT SEATTLE
AMERICAN MAIL LINER
SEATTLE, March 25. The American Mail liner President Madison capsized at her moorings in the harbour here last night, and /slowly filled with water. Throe of the crew are missing. They -were trapped in a hold as tho liner tilted. One hundred and fifty persons who were aboard quickly clambered over the- side to safety.
Attempts to fill the ballast tanks after three plates of the hull had been removed for Tepairs are believed to "be the cause of the accident.
