GAXDHI'S CAMPAIGN

REMOVAL OF SOCIAL BAN

DELHI, March 25.

Mr. Gandhi's campaign for the removal of the social ban from! the untouchables received a severe setback when the Legislative Assembly postponed for further consideration a Bill granting rights to untouchables to enter Hindu temples. It is believed that this means shelving the measure till January.

In the meanwhile a Judge at Poona has rejected applications for injunei tions to restrain Mr. Gandhi and 134 others from carrying on propaganda against caste restrictions.
