MAGISTRATE'S COURT

Cases at the Magistrate's Court were dealt with today by Mr. E. Page, S.M. James Wilson, a labourer, aged 61, was sentenced to two months' imprisonment on a charge of being found Unlawfully in a house at 174 Taranaki Street.

Sub-Inspector Martin said that the accused was arrested in the house yesterday. "He smelt strongly of. methylated spirits," said.Mr. Martin. In fact he is a methylated spirits addict—he has only been out a few days."

A further remand until Wednesday was granted in the case of Harold Mercer, aged 22, \\rho was charged with breaking and entering the warehouse of W. H. Moss, Ltd., and stealing goods, valued at £23.
