WIN FOR CHRISTCHURCH
The annual match for the Barnett Tiki between teams representing the Wellington and Christchureh Bowling Centres was played on the Wellington Club's green on Saturday, the visitors winning by three games and 129 points to two sanies and 107 points.
Apart from the pleasure of the afternoon's bowling, the visit was most enjoyable -socially. ' In the morning the visitors were taken for a motor drive, via Wilton's Bush, Wadestown, and then round the Marine Drive, morning tea being provided at Seatoun green. The visitors were entertained to luncheon .by the Wellington Centre.
Five rinks from each centre took part. Mr. L. V; Evans, past president of the Christchureh Centre, was manager of the visiting team.
A veteran Christchureh rink, skipped by J. H. Thomas, and -whose ages totalled 281 years, defeated 'Guise (Newtown), White (Thorndon), Teagle- (Hutt), and Potter (Wellington) by 30-11. Potter scored two on each of the first two heads, and the Christchureh team scored on the next 17 heads in succession, and added a six on the 24th, the kitty rebounding from a back bowl.
Evans, who met Perry, president of the Wellington Centre, stuck on 17 for ten heads, and scored two on the last head, losing 30-19.

Ingram, Liddle, Taylor, Perry 30: Fallowes, Wylie, Tourelle, hvans 19. Glenn, Chegwidden, Dimock, Jones 29; Kobson, R. Smith, Banks, Smith 20. Leuchars, Stonehouse, Hodeins, iNoad 14; Cusack, Kingston, Quane, Williams 29.
At the conclusion of the game Mr. Perry handed over the Barnett Tiki to jYlr._ ivans, heartily congratulating the thristcnurch team upon its win. He understood of the visitors were play'ng for the first time in'this competition and he hoped to meet some of them acain at Christchurch nest year. Mr. Evans responded, and hearty cheers were reciprocated. ■ " . .
