ARRESTED IN SHOP

Arrested last night in Woolworth 's Building, Cuba Street, John Morgan alias Bernard Joseph Molloy, aged 27 appeared before Mr. E. Page, S.M. at the Magistrate's Court today and was remanded until Wednesday on a charge oJ breaking and entering the premises with intent to commit theft. The discovery that someono was probably on the premises was made by a nightwatchman who noticed a ladder against one of the windows at the rear of tho premises. Guards Tver© placed at the exits of the building and the police were summoned. A man was discovered in the' main shop. On the assumption that it was a two-man task to handle the ladder, -which was long and heavy, the police made a prolonged but unsuccessful search for a possible confederate.
