'■'NO INDUSTRY SAFEI*,
(Received March. "26", ,'1'z pirn.). ■ SYDNEY, This Day. '"' Commenting on the action of the New South Wales Government in prohibiting oils, fats, flavourings, and colouring; materials in margarine, th© "Sydney Morning Herald's" conimereial editor says:— ■ • " . : ■■ .•■
"Surely the Government does not desire to destroy the margarine industry, yet this is precisely what will happen jif the Ministerial regulations are; allowed to go unchallenged. Margarine is not sold as butter, nor do the manufacturers desire to deceive the public. If the Government's action is legaL then no industry is safe. "Similar interference might be applied to cotton goods, because they af«" inimical -to wool, or to oatmeal, because it would lessen the consumptioa of the products of wheat."
