BASRAH, March 24.

Dr. David Borrie, a New Zealander, director of the Maude Memorial Hospital, aied here. Since the war ho had earned a remarkable reputation, and was known, as " Tho Beloved Physician" among the Arabs and Indians, from, whom lie refused to take fees. Thousands attended his funeral.

Dr. Borrie operated on Elliott, Sir Alan Cobham's engineer, -when ho-was shot during a flight to Australia.
