MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Police and summons cases were dealt with at the Magistrate's Court yesterday by Mr. E. Page, S.M.
"Williau.; Ernest Gordon Bate vra3 fined £10 for trespassing cm -the' Hutt Park racecourse during a meeting. Detective-Sergeant Eevell said that the accused had a list of convictions dating from 1920, and must have known that he-was not permitted -to go on a race course
Cyril Alfred Byerlee was convicted and ordered to "pay 10s costs for a similar offence. The Detective-Sergeant said that this ease differed from Bate's in that :the defendant had only ona conviction against him, and" probably was unaware that he was not allowed on a racecourse. • ■•
Aksel Wilhelmsen, a seamen, aged 58, was sentenced to two ; months' imprisonment or a charge of assaulting a boy. ' . • ■ .
