V.M.C.A. SWIMMING CUP

In 1908 the Crouch Challenge Cup a ,arge and handsome trophy, was presented to the V.M.C.A. Swimming Club for competition among members, and after being in the possession of Mr. G. T. Robinson, of Wellington, since 1919, ' it is being handed over to the club for competition •f^ain. It .-has been held by only six people. IV^ards the end of the war it was competed for principally by members of the gymnasium class, the men having gone to The cup was won in 1917-18 by *t. S. Robinson, and in 1938-19 by J. 15 Robinson, both sons of Mr. G. T. Robinson. They were the last holders of the W. as the club went out of existence, and Jt has only recently been revived. Mr Robinson will return the cup to the club during the first week in April, and Mr. J. E. Robinson will receive a miniature tup, suitably inscribed.
