MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Cases at the Magistrate's Court wet v dealt with yesterday by Mr. E. Pago, S.M.
Eileen Wilson, a domestic, aged 21, wa3 remanded for one week on a charge of being idle and disorderly in that she had insufficient lawful means of support. Kathleen Mary Clayton, aged 18, who pleaded guilty to a similar charge, was remanded for sentence for one week. ■
Charles Edward Thomas, a painter, aged 23, was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence on a charge of breaking aud entering the shop of Enoch Jorgensen at 118 Russell Terrace and stealing goods valued at £6 ss. In a statement to the police at Masterton, where he waa ai> rested, the accused admitted the off Once. He said that he had entered*the shop through an open window and had put some cigarettes, tobacco, and matches into a sack which, he found there. The accused also stated that he had sold some of the stolen goods at a shop in Masterton. When selling the goods he had said that they were part of some liquida« tion stock purchased in Wellington,
