LONDON, February 15. Jackson recently, wrote the, A-P.A. special correspondent with the 1930 team saying that he felt better and stronger than ever, and was certain he would be able to play against England, adding "but one never knows what is lurking around the corner."
The pathetic circumstances of his death are featured in the newspapers, which pay many tributes.- The "Daily Express" describes Jackson as the greatest stylist Australia has known for a quarter of a century, adding, "He was a, gallant youth whom every sportsman will mourn."
