MOTOR-CYCLES COLLIDE
THREE MEN INJURED
A FOURTH ARRESTED
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") PALMERSTON N., This Day. Three men were seriously injured in a head-on collision between two motor-cyclists—-one of whom was carrying two passengers—which occurred about 8.30 o'clock last evening on the main Palmerston North-EeildingToad, about ono and a half miles from Bunnythorpe. Tho injured, nil of whom were reported to be still in a very serious condition early this morning, arc:—Gordon Leslie Thompson, aged 20, of Bunnythorpe; Julian Graham, aged 24, of Feilding; and William Graham, of Feilding. . It appears that Thompson, riding solo, was proceeding from Feilding to his home at Bunnythorpe While the other motor-cycle was being ridden in the direction of Feilding, the head-on collision occurring about a mile and a half from the Bunnythorpe crossing. The latter machine was being ridden by Sidney Graham, who was carrying as passengers his brother Julian and his cousin. William. They are Maoris employed at the Aorangi Freezing Works. _ Both machines were wrecTted and tho riders and passengers were thrown to the road. . Thompson was admitted to hospital suffering from shock, head injuries, severe hemorrhage, general abrasions, and a lacerated wound to the left foot. William Graham sustained severe head injuries and cuts to the arms and face. Julian Graham suffered head injuries and a fractured knee cap. It was alleged that there was no light on Graham's machine, aud Sidney Graham has been arrested. It is understood that he was taken to Feilding on tho chargo of boing intoxicated while in charge of a motor-cycle.
