SEVERAL ABSENTEES
"A DOMESTIC MATTER"
MR. FORBES'S COMMENT
'Members of the Coalition Party attended their third caucus of the session this morning. The Prime Minister (the Right Hon. G. W. Forbes) stated this afternoon that the meeting had been called to give members an opportunity of discussing the legislation which remained to be dealt with before Parliament adjourned. The question of exemptions from the sales tax. was also discussed. . Mr. Forbes said he still hoped to be" able to conclude the business of Parliament within three weeks. Questioned regarding absentees from caucus, the Prime Minister said that there were several members of the party who were not present. Asked ifany significance attached to the fact that certain " members had not received invitations, Mr. Forbes said :^—"You had better go and see those members. It is a domestic matter." ' In reply to a question as to whether today's caucus would be the last to be held this session, Mr. Forbes said he could not say at the moment. It was quite possible there would be other meetings.
