Mr., and Mrs. W. L. Kollestou, Kenya, arrived in Wellington this morning by the Wanganella, to visit Mr. Eolleston'a mother, Mrs. Hector Eolleston. They will spend a few days at Heretaunga, and then will stay with Lady Bell, Lowry Bay. . . ~ Mr. arid Mrs.Frank AyUng, who havo beon spending the past few months in Wellington, will leave for Auckland on. Thursday and will' return to England by the Eemuei-a. Miss NelleScanlan, who has been visiting Pieton and Blenheim, arrived in Christehureh yesterday. Mrs. Marmaduke Bethel], Pahau Pastures, North Canterbury, is paying a visit to the North Island.: Mrs. J. H. Jennings, of Geelong and Barwon Heads, Victoria; Australia, is a recent arrival iii New' Zealand and is at present staying .at Takaka, Nelson. •".;:..- ■ . . • .. Mrs. William Cameron, Martinborough, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. J. G. Herdmaiy Christehureh, will return home at the end of ttie week. Miss Shaw, Wadestown, who,has been Staying with Mrs. J. B. Jones, Peatherston, has returned to Wellington. Miss Violet Smith left Wellington by tho Monowai on Friday-for an extended visit to Sydney; Mrs. Fcrrar and Miss Helen Ferrar, Wellington, have returned from a visit to Christehureh. ' Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair Carruthers, Wellington, aro visiting Christehureh. Among the guesta at the Hotel St. George, are Sirs. A. Kichards (Christchurch), Misses "H. and W. Dewar (Auckland), and Mrs. J. 11. Commons (Napier). Mrs. J. Bull, Hunterville, is staying at the Eoyal Oak Hotel. Miss Claudia Weaton has returned to Auckland after a visit to Wellington. The first luncheon for the year of the Y.W.C.A. Business and Professional Women's Club will be held this week. Miss Audrey McCrea, who recently returned to New Zealand after an extended trip abroad, is to be the speaker. Her topic, "Three Months in Geneva," should provo of interest to members and friends. The death was recently announced of Miss Ada Moore, sister of the famous actresses, Eva and Mary Moore (states an exchange). The late Miss Moore was au ardent feminist. She worked with tho Actresses' Franchise League for. the British "Women's Hospital, and by her own unaided efforts raised enough money to endow a room at the Star and Gaiter homo for disabled men. Sl»e organised concerts and entertaininents in England, Prance, and Germany in the hospitals and leave camps, and gave devoted service to the Women's Freedom League. Miss D. Merriman (New South Waifs) and Miss Eilisa Ullvig (Norway) are among tho guests at tho Midland Hotel. Mrs. Ti-ehcrnc Thomas, London, is a guest at tho Hotel St. George. Mrs. S. Bolton (Pahiatua), Miss D. •Tones, Miss V. Jones (Daiinovirke), Miss F. A. Richmond' (Nelson), and Mrs. F. W.
