SENTENCES AT PALMERSTON
(By Telegraph.—l'ress Association.) PALMERSTON N., February 13. At the Supreme Court to-day Mr. Justice MacGregor sentenced William Charles Norman, who was found guilty of assault causing actual bodily harm, and of theft at Levin, to twelve months' detention for reformative treatment on both charges, the sentences to be concurrent. Norman is to be kept under medical supervision .Victor James Jameson, on three charges ot tnett, was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment on each charge, the terms to be cumulative, and was declared a habitual criminal. . Barney Vincent Reardon, for breaking, entering, and theft, and theft, received two years' imprisonment with hard labour. ; Thomas Frederick Ellis, on two charges of issuing valueless cheques, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment and declared a habitual criminal.
