LONDON, February 11,

British trade . figures for January show that imports amounted to £54,123,000 and exports to £29,205,000, and re-exports to £4,189,000. The principal decreases were:—

Imports — Animals for food, £790,000; other food and., drink, £3,503,000; other textilo materials, £604,000; hides and skins, £355,000; iron and steel manufactures, £623,000. Exports — Machinery, £745,000; woollen and worsted manufactures, £295,000, as compared with January 1932. . "
