The depression mentioned on Saturday Is still located between New Zealand and the Chatham Islands, but is commencing to fill up. The prevailing winds have been from between west and south-west, but east of the ranges and In Cook Strait the direction was in many places north-west. They were generally strong, and in many places reached gale force. While eastern districts have had fine weather, elsewhere it has been showery, and in the far south l some hailstorms occurred.
