KARORI CLUB
The Karori Defence Rifle Club fired the service portion of its trlioot for the WilJoughby Cup at Trentham on Saturday. During the afternoon Deputy-President W J. Mclver, of the Petone Club, presented the Senior Union Shield, which was won by the Karori team on Saturday last. Conditions were bad for service shooting, the wind being so strong that | it was impossible for the markers to hold steady those targets which had to be earned at the top of a pole, and this baffled even the best of the marksmen at times, ihe four practices fired were:—(a) 10 rounds rapid, possible 50; (b) 10 rounds snap, possible 50, at 300 yds; (c) 5 rounds tilesr, • possible 25; (d) 6 rounds running man, possible 30, at 200 yds.
