This year brings the 200 th. jannit-er-sary of the death of King Aujjust the Strong, and the 50th anniversary of Richard Wagner, who spent his jyouth in. Dresden.-; In^qomraeinoratidn. of these two anniversaries the authorities of the Saxon capital have decided jto observa the summer of 1933 as a "jijJbilee summer." An exhibition, "August the [Strong .and His Times," will be held from Easter until 15th September. That monarch, the "Prince of :B:iroque," set the stamp of his personality? on Dresden as did no other single man, and his reign was of epoch-mak.W importance for all Saxony.
