COMMITTEE TO DECIDE

The future Of eleven organisations in which. Australia and New Zealand are interested will be 'decided- by the Ottawa Committee, which is commencing its sittings on 14th February. They include:—The Empire Marketing Board, the Imperial Economic and Shipping Committees, the Imperial Institute, the Imperial Forestry Commission, the Empire Timber ' Committee, and the Communications Advisory Committee. ■
The conference probably ' will endeavour to amalgamate some and alter the scope of others.
The Empire Marketing Board, whose existence after 30th September is contingent on the extent to which the Dominions are willing to share the expense, may be replaced;by a new Imperial organisation, on which the Dominions will have equal representation, sharing the financial responsibility. This may become the Empire's central marketing organisation. It will also conduct research and other activities.
