SUPERANNUATION BOARD
The -quarterly meeting of -the Public Service Superannuation Board, was\held on Thursday. Mr. J. \T. Macdonald; pre-, sided, '.-.._,■.;-.,'■.-■./ 'Seventeen contributors who hadV retired by reason of age or length, of ■■ser» vice were granted allovranceß totalling £3189 a year, and six' contributors 'who bad retired as medically nnfit were granted allowances totalling £888 a year. " The board declined to grant allowances in two cases. ' - ■ . '••'■■."■, .Eight widows and seven children were granted the statutory allowances, amounting to £430 a year. .; : Other matters concerning the administration of the fund received attention.
The condition of Squadron-Leader M. C. McGregor, formerly of Hamilton, who was injured in an aeroplane crash at Milson Aerodrome, Pahnerston North, some timo ago, is reported to be improving. There is no indication yet, hcnvover, whaii lie' will leave hospital.
