SHORTT'S THEATRE.
A romance of the logging camps, the first Eince sound was combined with motion ..pietires, "Carnival Boat," opened at Shortt's Theatre yesterday, featuring BUI Boyd. The story is about the shortcomings of a young lumberman. Be is In love with Ginger Rogers, a carnival' Boat singer, and his father's efforts to separate them and persuade him to get down to business cause a rift between them. Bill does not believe that life • Is at all serious until he saves- his father on a runaway train and realises the old man was lacing down the mountain in an attempt to help.
