PERSONAL NOTES

Lady Wilf ord will arrive at Auckland next Thursday by the Bangitiki from England, and after spending the weekend in Wanganui with Mrs. • Wilf ord, Sir Thomas Wilf ord's mother, will proceed to Wellington. She is accompanied by her daughter, Miss Isabel Wilford, and her sister, Miss Isabel McLean (Dunediu), and they will occupy.Miss Cobb's house in Hawkestone street during their stay in Wellington. Lady Wilford expects to be here only about sis or seven weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. G. M..Currie, Koatanui, Wanganui, who have been spending some time in Wellington, returned home to-day.

Mrs. Herbert Hudson, who since her return from England has been spending a few months in Hawlces Bay, is now staying in Christchurch.

Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Aiken, who have been visiting Christehurch, have re- v turned to Wellington.

Mrs. Paul Verschaffielt, Aurora terrace, returned to Wellington this week after a visit to Hawkes Bay.

Mr. and Mrs. Eadred Lutyens, London, who have been visiting relatives in the South Island, are now the guests of Mrs. George Helmore, Fendaiton, Christchurch.

Miss Egidia Menzies, who has been spending a holiday at Marton, will return to Christchurch early next week.

Mrs. W. H. Price, Pipitea street, will return to Wellington to-morrow evening, after a visit to Picton.

Mrs. E. L. Sutro^ Poukavra, Hawkes Bay, has left for Christchurch, where she is the guest of Mrs. T. i\ Gibson, Fendalton.

Dr. and Mrs. B. 3T. .Aldred returned yesterday by the Monowai from Milford Sound. -.•;

Mrs. Guy Williams, "Te PaTae," Masterton, is visiting Ch.risteh.urch. Miss Nancy Evans, Kelburn, will leave to-morrow evening to spend several months in. Auckland.

Mrs. and Miss MeEvedy, who have been paying a brief visit to Christehurch, will return to Wellington tomorrow morning.

Mrs. A. C. Turnbull, Samoa, and her daughter, Miss Euth Turnbull, are at present in Wellington. Mrs. Turnbull is spending her furlough in New Zealand. .

Mrs. W. I). Esson, Opawa, Christ-' church, passed through Wellington en route to Tauranga. Miss Audrey Knight, Stratford is the guest of Mrs. W. Knight, Thorndon. Misses F. and Cr. Cunningham (Sydney) are guests at the Boyal' Oak Hotel. Miss M. Samson, Wanganui, is stayling at the Hotel St. George.
