(By Telegraph.—Press Association). ; MASTERTON, This Day. A sis-roomed residence in. Dalefield road, South. Carterton, owned and occupied by Mr. Bernard Lipineki, was completely destroyed by fire to-night. Fanned.by. &. strong gale, the flames quickly demolished, the building, which was situated outside the water area, and the brigade had a difficult task. An adjacent barn containing a' considerable quantity of baled hay and sundries also caught fire, but the contents were removed before much: damage had been done. A plantation of pines and a portion of the fencing were also burnt. The house was.covered by insurance, but it is; understood that the furniture, some at which was saved was not insured. . ' - . '
