CLOSING RATES
Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd., are in receipt of the following wool market quotations from their London agents, giving closing rates of the London wool sales for the January-February series, as compared with the closing rates of the November-December serieß, the latter in parentheses:—New Zealand merino, 60/64's yielding 48 per cent., not quoted (9d); halfbred, 56's yielding 60 per cent., lid (10% d); superfine crossbred, 50's yielding 65 per cent., B%d (7%d); fine crossbred* 48/50's mixed prep, and card, yielding 70 per cent., 7%d (7%d); fine crossbred, 46/48's mixed prep, and card, yielding 72 per cent., 5%d (59id); medium crossbred, 44/46'b preparing yielding 74 per cent., 5%d (5%d); medium crossbred, 44/46's carding yielding 72 per cent./ 5%d (sd); coarse crossbred, 40/44's yielding 73 per cent., 4%d (4%d); low crossbred, 36/40's yielding 75 per cent., 4%d (none).
