TOUR OF DOMINION
IN WELLINGTON NEXT WEEK
The party of English public schoolboys, numbering about thirty, who arrived in Auckland at the beginning of this''week, will reach 'Wellington on Monday evening from New Plymouth. Their itinerary embraces Auckland, the Waitomo Caves, and Taranaki. Three days will be spent in Wellington, before proceeding to ChristehuTch.
A very comprehensive tour of the South Island has been arranged, and when a return is made to Wellington on 13th March the North Island will be toured equally thoroughly. "When the boys arrive in Wellington on Monday fromiNew Plymouth they will be met by their hosts and motored to their homes. On Tuesday at 10.30 a.m. a wreath will ho placed at the foot of.;' the War Memorial. This wreath has been made by the British Legion, and has been brought out by the party. At .10.45 a.m. the boys meet the Prime Minister at Parliament House, and at noon they are to be accorded a civic welcome in the Town Hall. Subsequently they will be the guests of the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, and Lady 'Bledisloe, at a luncheon at Government House.
On the Wednesday a visit to the Masterton Agricultural Show has been arranged. On the Thursday morning a tour of inspection will lie made of the Petone Woollen Mais, and this will be followed at 12.45 p.m. by .a visit to Wellington College, In the afternoon the boys will have the choice of visiting places of interest in and around Wellington, of. an inspection of the "Evening Post" offices, of attending the Boy Scout rally, or of going to the House of Bepresentatives to see and hear Parliament at work. The departure for Christchurch will be made by the ferry steamer in the evening. ,
