SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS.
The depression located over the Soutn TasmanSea yesterday has since deepened-rap-, idly, the pressure at Puysegur Point this morning being as low.as 29,0 inches. Winds have consequently freshened from between north and west, gale force being reached at times. There were' further scattered" rain's yesterday over the North Island, with some local thunderstorms and heavy, falls. This morning It was unsettled in western districts and rain was falling at numbers of places. 1.57 inches was reported from Okuru Temperatures have been warm.
