PARAMOUNT THEATRE.
Their Excellencies- the Governor-General, with Lady Bledlsloe. and a large party from Government House,-will be present at the Paramount All-British Theatre to-night to witness the first presentation in Wellington of Gainsborough's screen translation of Monckton Hoffe'a play, ?'Tha Faithful Heart." Victor Saville, who showed the film world some new points In ■ picture' direction In "Sunshine Susie," Is credited with going one better in "The Faithful Heart." His direction of the charming story Is said to be well nigh perfect. Tho two well-known West End stars, Herbert Marshall and Edna Best, are at the top of the cast, and have parts ideally suited to their own romantic personalities. They are ably supported •by such favourites as Anne Gray, Athole Stewart, Migrion. O'Doherty, and Lawrence Hanray. The story was first produced as a stage play in 1921 at the Comedy Theatre, London, where it was classed as the best of its year. It was revived with equal success in 1931, with Marshall and Edna Best. The main attraction will be preceded by specially selected British short subjects.
