LODGE MEETINGS
Loyal Sister Wallis Lodge, Manchester Unity Oddfellows, held its usual meeting under Sister Z. Douglas, I.P.N.G. There was a splendid attendance. Lodge honours ■were accorded visitors. Sister E, McFarlane was elected to attend district confei'ence to be held at Eketahuna. Sister Mears, N.G., was appointed to represent the lodge at a meeting with P.G. lodge officers regarding visits for 1933. Bro. C. Wehb, N.G., presided over the meeting o£ Loyal Antipodean Lodge, Manchester Unity Oddfellows. Sick visitors' reports were received* Bro. Webb/ N.Q-,, was appointed to attend the P.G. officers' meeting regarding arrangements for 1033. After concluding business cards were enjoyed by members.
The annual meeting of the Past, Grands Lodge, Manchester. Unity Oddfellows, was held recently, Bro. I. Lynneberg, president, presiding. The new ritual for P;Gr. lodges was read by the president and adopted. The following were elected officers for 1933,. and were installed by BroL A. C. Blair, PJXG.M.:—President,. Bro. G. Craddoek; vice-president, Bro. G. Bell; I.P.P. Bro. I. Lynneberg; warden, Bro. A. J. Foote; guardian, Bro. G. Eacles; conductor, Bro. C. W. Johnson; management committee, Bros. C. J. Burnett, W. P. Holt, and Williams. The question of electing judges for the ritual competition was left in the hands o£ the management committee. The secretary reported on having arranged the monthly visits of town and suburban lodges, and also the week-end visit to Wairarapa. On their arrival in Wellington recently Mr. and Mrs. R. Watson, well-known Good Templars o£ Nelson, were tendered a farewell social prior to their departure on a world tour. At the gathering Bro. Petherick, G.C.T., Sister Devereux, D.C.T., Bro. Fathers, district secretary, and Bro. Davis, DJD.B., wished them farewell on behalf of the Order in Wellington. During the course o£ their tour Bro. and Sister Watson will represent New Zealand at the High Movable Conference of Rechabites at London in August, and will also attend the Grand Lodge sessions in England and Scotland. In July they will be the representatives of the Grand Lodge of New Zealand at the International Supreme Lodge of the Independent Order of Good Templars at The Hague.
