BAKERS' CONFERENCE
OFFICERS ELECTED
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, 9th. February. The New Zealand Bakers' Conference was continued at Dunedin to-day. In response to a vequeat to bring down a recommendation on proposals to alter the constitution, the. executive committee submitted the following motions, which were adopted:— "That of the present levy of £1 Is, now payable to ;ho New Zealand executive by all affiliated associations, the sum of 10s 6d be paid direct by the New Zealand Association to a committee controlling tho South Island and North Island organisers' funds respectively." "That 50 per cent. <>f the feea contributed from the South Island for associate and active members be refunded to the South Island organiser's fund." The following office-bearers were elected: President, Mr. T. W. Smith (Stratford); North Island vice-presi-dent, Mr. :C/ Cowan (Auckland); South Island vice-president,, Mr. L.-A. Woodward (ChristcKurch); executive, Messrs J. McGregor, G. K. Mathieson, L. Burton, ,H.,.Montgomery, H. P. Burton, and ; C. Buchanan; auditor, Mr. H Fi O. Twigden. ■ • .
