MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Police and summons cases were dealt with at .the Magistrate's Court to-day by Mr. B. Page, S.M. ■ -John Mintern Paull, a hawker, aged 42, was further remanded until Wednesday, on a charge of breaking and entering the warehouse of the Saracen Shoe Co., and stealing 22 pairs of shoes, valued at £12 13s. A'fine, of £5 was imposed- on Trindall Richardson for carrying on business as a land agent without a licence. Walter Bell, licensee of the Cricketers' Anns Hotel, was fined £4 for selling liquor after hours. For. failing to pay instalments of the unemployment levy, Reginald G. M. Hare was fined £1. . jFines of £2 in. each case were imposed on.Henry Evans, James Hewitt, and Itobert' A. P.almer for being found unlawfully on ; licensed premises after hours. Charles V. Fraser was fined £1 for a similar offence. ' , .. The licensee of the Carlton Hotel, Samuel Duncan, was fined £5 for selling liquor* after hours. The barman of the hotel, William H. Carr, was fined £2 for aiding and abetting two men to be unlawfully on the premises after hours.
