The challengers Tvon the toss and batted, bat ■were all out at lunch for the small score of 83. Freeman took five wicketa for 19 runs 5 and A, Newman four for 12. Morris (28) and Mclaughlin (20) were the top-scorers for "West Coast.
At 2.30 p.m. Nelson had scored 45 ■without loss (Neale 21 and Morgan 2.4).
