NEW ZEALAND TOUR
DECISION UNFAVOURABLE
(Received 9th February, 2 p.m.) LONDON, Bth February. The Ladies' Golf Union at a general meeting recommended ,'.-* the executive to abandon the proposed Australian and New Zealand tour, but not that to Africa. • Lady Denman said she did not believe that New' Zealand and Australia would take the decision adversely. The postponement was due to the length of the tour. The best English players at the top of their 'form were requiredto play France and America in 1934, and she was of /opinion that only the best should go to Australia and New Zealand. Mrs. Herbert regarded it as a great national calamity not to make the tour. : It would be disappointing both to Australia and New Zealand she' said. .Mrs. "Lewis Smith suggested a tour in. 1935.
