Hampden has been a disappointing pro- ■ position,, both to his owner and to his .trainer,' O. Cox, as he has galloped I brilliantly on the tracks, but failed reI peatedly, in his races. He is a four-year-old horse by Tea Tray from Esther's '_ilbroney daughter, Kilcalm, and as a I yearling he cost Mr. Bristol 140 guineas.
