(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Bth February. The 220 yards invitation scratch swimming race decided here to-night, was won by R. Thomas in 2min 23sec, breaking G. Bridson's New Zealand record by threefifths of a second. N. Crump, who was second, took 2min 23 4-ssec, or 2 l_ec _r ilxan' -1" 8 OT™ intermediate record. The-220 yards Auckland women's championship resulted: Miss Farquhar, 1; Miss Leydon, 2: Miss- Ludlow, 3. The time was 2min _ssec, which bettered Miss Or. Shand s Dominion record by one second.
